The GT-R V-spec is expected to take the Nurburgring crown for production cars soon (currently third). The GT-R V-spec is 330 pounds lighter and at least 70 more horsepower than the current 480-horsepower GT-R base model.

GT-R lapped the 12.93-mile Nurburgring for only 7:29 which places it third for production cars. Current champion is Pagani Zonda F at 7:27.8 and Porsche Carrera GT (7:28.0) follows.

The Base model is priced at $69,850. The Premium model is slightly higher at $71,900
